WWE Suspends 10 Wrestlers For Drugs, Chose Eenie-Minie-Moe Method

We were fans of wresting before “tapping out” meant exposing a vein for the needle to plunge into. That’s why there was no surprise from our office when we learned that enough wrestlers to start a Royal Rumble were suspended for violating the WWE’s new “wellness policy.”

WWE said it… has been investigating sales of steroids and growth hormones through Internet and phone-order firms.The wrestlers had ordered drugs prohibited by WWE policy, company attorney Jerry McDevitt said.The company did not release the names of those suspended. No criminal charges had been filed.

We’re not sure that the WWE wants to go down this route. If they’re suspending people just for ordering HGH, the only people who are going to be left to wrestle are the no-names that the superstars beat up on. And a league of flabby, 40-year-olds in unitards fighting each other is not one we want to watch.
