From The Duh Department: Money Might Make Couture/Emelianenko Happen

Mark Cuban really knows what people want to see. He’s offered a three million dollar pot to see Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko fight (one for the loser, two for the winner) under his Cage Fighting Championship banner. Unfortunately, the fighters are signed on with other leagues, so there will have to be understandings and, um, payoffs to make it work.

We are willing to sit down with any and all parties necessary to make this fight happen… It happens everyday in boxing. That’s how you get an undisputed champion. This exclusivity only hurts the sport, the fans, the fighters and the amount of money a fighter can make… It’s time for the MMA to change for the benefit of the fighters and fans.

If it can happen, there’s no way Randy Couture can turn that down. Not only will it be one of the best fights ever, but he’d have to make Undisputed 2-7 for that kind of money.
