Manny Ramirez Doesn’t Understand There’s No ‘Next Year’ In Boston

Manny Ramirez has sent Boston into a frenzy by suggesting that not making it to the World Series isn’t a big deal. The Red Sox are facing elimination, down 3-1 to Cleveland, but Ramirez is acting like a rational person, the opposite of frenzied Sox fans who feel the world would collapse without a championship ring.
“We’re just going to go have fun and play the game. That’s it. If we go play hard and the thing doesn’t come like it’s supposed to come, we’ll move on. We’ll come next year. Why should we panic? We’ve got a great team. If it doesn’t happen, good. We’ll come next year and try to do it again.”
Is there anyone else you’d rather be in a foxhole with than Manny Ramirez? Six guys with bayonets could be rushing it and he’s just turn to you with a pack of gum and ask if you’d want a piece.
