We at MachoChip are lovers, not fighters. We leave the pugilism to those who get paid handsomely for it because, let’s face it, bloggers prefer to throw verbal jabs at our foes than real ones (yeah, we’re coming after you, Cute Overload!). This must explain our recent fascination with Rio Heroes. For the uninitiated, Rio Heroes is an MMA-type battle using a Brazilian freestyle method called vale tudo. That means no rules, no gloves and no time limits. Broken bones and messed up faces are the only thing coming out of this ring. The best part is that the only way to attend these underground fights is to be a professional fighter yourself. That’s pretty raw. We can’t imagine being in a room where Norman Mailer spews vile at us while we’re trying to finish our posts.
