Memories are priceless. Well, they are unless you’re a Pele fan. A new coffee table book featuring 1,700 images and 300,000 words (!) highlighting his career could set you back a cool 28 grand, if the euro is favorable that day.
Pele comes in three editions: Samba (available to you cheapskates for $3K), Super Samba ($3,950) and Carnival, which lists at 14,000 euros. And what do you get in the “highly limited” for a price so high they couldn’t even list the price in dollars? You get a copy signed by the man himself and a color photographic print of the three time World Cup-winning 1970 Brazilian team, signed by all surviving members. Forget the old guy signatures, for a possible 28 grand, there’d better be one of those ass-shaking samba girls from Carnival included.
Well, at least there aren’t any pictures included from his modeling portfolio.
