Fresh from the Yankees laughing at his $350 million asking price, Alex Rodriguez’s option B is seemingly to head for Boston. Yes, the place where half the team wants to literally beat his ass (see picture) and everyone in the stands has booed him for the past three years. Why? For the same reason we’re betting on the New England Patriots every week—because he wants to be a winner.

If Alex Rodriguez could handpick the team he plays for, Boston might well be No. 1 on his list. According to a source who has talked to Rodriguez recently, he’d love to play for the Sox because he thinks they can win multiple championships.

Alex, they don’t need you and your third-of-a-billion-dollar price tag. For that price the Sox can pay their entire championship infield and put out as many shitty David Ortiz records as they want with the change.
