Uefa smacked Benfica midfielder Augustin Binya with a six-game ban after he tried to snap Celtic midfielder Scott Brown’s leg like a twig, but he doesn’t really understand with the big fuss is about. Binya declares he’s been treated “like a murderer” and he’s basically been pouting about it this whole week.

“I’ve never wanted to kill anybody on a football pitch, I am here to play the ball and I don’t want to be called an animal. Personally I have not apologised to the Scottish player. But I know that Benfica apologised for what happened.”

Does his mama still wipe his ass as well? It couldn’t hurt to send Brown a bottle of booze with a card that reads something like, “Sorry about the leg. Drink up.” Unfortunately, Binya just doesn’t get it.

The Benfica hatchet man has also claimed his coach, Jose Antonio Camacho, is happy with his style of play and is content for him to continue playing in such a way.
“This is my style on the field and the coach, Jose Antonio Camacho, has never demanded I calm my actions. Mine is a more aggressive form of play, but is not violent. This is the main difference with European and African football.”

Translation: I’m probably going to do it again so everyone just chill.
Binya: I’m being treated like a murderer [Setanta]
