So after all of the excuses, all the drama and all the finger-pointing, England maintained one thing: whether they like it or not, they just suck. Steven Gerrard tried to convince us it was totally the foreigners fault; and media clowns tried to blame it on the injuries. But David Beckham has come out to say “nah uh” dudes. The reason they lost is because they are England. And England sucks right now. Period.

“…People are going to look for certain excuses and one of them that was thrown at me was ‘Are there too many foreigners in the game? For me, foreigners coming into the Premier League and into our country has lifted the profile of the game, it has lifted the quality of the game. If you look at statistics, in 74 and 78 when we didn’t qualify for the World Cup, there was probably 90 percent of the English league that was English players.”

Settle down Becks. If you want your hundredth cap appearance then you might want to say something positive. Oh, what’s that? You have the answer to England’s problems?

“Foreign managers, like Arsene Wenger, like [Jose] Mourinho, like Rafa Benitez, have come in and made our game a lot more interesting and brought great players in, and lifted the profile,” he added.
“But then you also have to take into account that we still have to bring players through, still create grassroots football and still create academies like this one [the David Beckham Academy in Greenwich].”

Translation: if you had more players like me, you wouldn’t be crying over our loss this weekend. Shameful plug or valid point? Whatever. Considering a majority of English players make more than 100,000 quid a week, we think they should get deducted cash for being losers. Now get back to saving the MLS. Now git!
