Michael Owen is the gimp of the English national side. Actually, since he went from Liverpool FC to Real Madrid three years ago, that guy has probably seen more doctors than a stunt man on the set of a “Die Hard” flick. The 26 year-old striker didn’t play against Croatia last week because he was still out with a thigh injury caused by who knows what and he’s decided to publicly smear Croatian players by calling out their ability as soccer players; or lack there of in this case.
“I don’t think any of the Croatian team would get into our team. Doesn’t that tell you it’s not about ability or technique but in the mind. We have very demanding fans and a media who expect a great deal from the England team - and rightly so.”
Next he’ll tell us it was the fault of the foreigners. But, did he just imply England players have no brains? Right-e-o ol’ chap. We think you hit the nail on the head.
