Hooliganism is like the black plague in Europe. Or like nachos in Mexico. Whatever the case, all of Europe frowns on the spectacle. The vermin usually correlated with carrying the disease? English club soccer fans. Well that’s what most non-English clubs want you to believe. Turns out German club Nurnberg FC isn’t going to take any chances with fans from English side Everton. Nurnberg hosts the Premiership team tomorrow in a Group B UEFA Cup Match and they’ve taken the extreme measure of rejecting 1,500 tickets that ended up in the hands of Everton fans.

Uefa classified the match as high-risk after it emerged that the German club had sold a number of tickets in their home section direct to Everton fans. “We would never recommend that supporters get tickets through the host club. Those who bought them are being told now they can’t use them.”

Blood bath averted, or Youtube highlight reel opportunity slipping through the cracks? We’re wondering if the same thing happens when Oakland Raider fans show up at the opposing team’s stadium. Look into it NFL.
