It was only a few days ago that Sir Alex Ferguson, a.k.a Fergie, was belittling his own league for allowing too many foreign players to thrive in England. He’s hardly the type of bloke who would retract a statement. But after Man Utd.’s 2-0 win this weekend, Fergie found he had a lot of love for his boys; even those pesky foreigners.

“I believe this is the strongest squad I have ever had. So much so that I think I would be pushed to name my overall best team.
‘We have young players led by Rooney and Ronaldo, now joined by the likes of Nani (Carlos) Tevez and Anderson.
‘In fact, it’s difficult to know when to stop when talking about our important players.”

Indeed. Because this is what can happen when you don’t shut your yap.
