Guatemala And Honduras To Kiss And Tell In Soccer Friendly This Weekend

Guatemala is heading to Miami this weekend to take on Honduras in a soccer friendly. Since the game is about as enticing as a middle school tennis match, Guatemalan head coach Hernán Dario Gómez decided to stir the pot of controversy for kicks. Gómez was in the middle of interviews with reporters when he caught sight of his Colombian homeboy, and Honduran head coach, Reinaldo Rueda, and proceeded to smack a big smooch on Rueda’s cheek. Asked by reporters what the kiss meant, Gómez replied:

“El beso significa cualquier cosa, menos que somos maricas” [Ed. Note: "The kiss can mean anything, except that we're faggots."]

Um…doh! As you can assume, the gay community wasn’t too thrilled about this. So we guess Phil Jackson just got bumped to second on the “should have thought twice about your comment” list. Well for this week anyway.
