We’ve encountered many hung-over days in our lives; mangled by a bottle of grandpa’s ol’ cough medicine; and yearning to replenish those precious vitamins and minerals we pissed away the previous evening. Somehow we always found a way to muster enough strength, trek to our nearest 7-Eleven, and stumble towards the refrigerated goods section. With all the habituation of a milk-fed alley cat, we casually strode towards an ice-cold bottle of Gatorade every time: fruit punch, of course. It still happens to us regularly, so we thought we’d give a quick nod to J. Robert Cade, the inventor of Gatorade. Cade died today in Gainseville, Florida at the age of 80. We’re not sure what he died of, but we’re certain it wasn’t from dehydration.
