Even though AC Milan’s Kaká is expected to pick up this year’s Fifa World Player of the Year award, he said that Cristiano Ronaldo should be the one standing at the podium. Why? The Brazilian coverboy and Jesus ambassador thinks that Ronaldo’s leadership in taking Manchester United to an EPL title and Portugal far into the national tournaments is way more accomplished than, say, a certain player from Argentina.
“I would vote for Cristiano Ronaldo as the best in the world,” he told Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte.
“Not just for his quality, but also as he has been able to do so well with the Portugal jersey. Lionel Messi is a great player, but he has not won any titles this year.”
Asked for a response to being left off of Kaka’s list, the young Cesc Fabregas could only shrug and enjoy his Arsenal team’s first place share with his nemesis Cristiano’s ManU squad.
