AC Milan are keen on revamping their aging defense next year and they’ve been linked to a possible attempted luring of Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. Former Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi commenced the smooth-talk by comparing Ramos to legendary Milan-o-saur Paolo Maldini. For the Italians, it’s never too early to whisper sweet nothings. Even defunct striker Ronaldo got into the mix when he reportedly called Ramos to ask about life, about love, and whatever else insanely rich soccer dudes talk about.
“Ronaldo called Ramos last Thursday, but the conversation wasn’t anything special. It was only reported by the media because the Brazilian plays for AC Milan and there has been much speculation about the club’s interest in the Sevillan defender. The relationship between Ronald and Ramos is very good. They are friends and got along well when Ronaldo played for Real Madrid.”
Ronaldo totally asked him for diet tips. Unfortunately for Milan, Ramos wasn’t swayed by Ronaldo’s moves.
“I’m flattered by that comparison, but it’ll be tough to match the heights that Paolo reached. I think it would be very difficult for me to play for Milan. It is always interesting when a big side like Milan interested in me, but I’m just thinking of staying here at Real. I’m very happy in Madrid and I don’t see any reason to leave this glorious club.”
We wonder how much gets paid to say all that crud. Winter transfers are only a few weeks away!
