Sammy Sosa To Torture Fans Until The End Of Time

Sammy Sosa has declared he’d still like to round the bases a few more times next season for whatever team that offers him a contract. (No one’s actually told Sammy that he’s tarnished in the eyes of most people.) Unfortunately for the Dominican-born player, the Rangers will unlikely be the savior of his drudgingly long (illustrious? remarkable? nah…) career. The general manager of the Rangers provided the down-low:

Given our slow start and our [trading] deadline activity, we’ve taken a different course and are going to continue to give opportunity to young players with ability.

That’s an implied kick in the balls. The truth is that Sammy has been as competent and productive as a fat sea lion: he looks fierce, but the guy is merely a tub of blubber.
