A tipster notified us about some info that Los Angeles Galaxy jerseys have been selling like hot cakes all over the world. Turns out their injury-prone $250million dollar investment from this summer is actually paying off. Herbalife, the Galaxy’s sponsor, couldn’t be happier:

“…More than 1 million Galaxy apparel items with the Herbalife logo have been produced and distributed through out the world. That means 1 million walking and talking billboards for our brand creating more positive brand awareness than ever before and aligning our brand with a healthy active lifestyle.”

So go on and herb that life away soccer fans. There’s nothing like a corporate behemoth making tons of money to provide an afternoon smirk. You really didn’t think the Galaxy picked up David Beckham to “change the game” did you? Same thing happened when he transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid. They wound up going trophy-less for four years, but sold over 25 million jerseys. So at this rate, the Galaxy will make tons of money and wait a few years to relish in champagne doused locker rooms. Whatever. Let’s take a look at a sponsorships that made us laugh over the years. Gallery after the jump.
