UFC Fighter Wanderlei Silva Unveils His Best “Ivan Drago” Impersonation

Next month’s clash between Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva is like a soccer “super clásico”; except with more blood, way more swelling, and elbows are allowed. Besides that, it’s almost the same. Pre-fight hype is already in full swing and leave it to Silva to get us amped up a bit more with this recent blurb:

“… I train hard and I hunger because I want to come back to the top and fight with Chuck. Now is at the best moment to me. And I want to give a good show, the biggest, and fight for my fans everywhere…. Now, maybe in the next years I’m going to come back to the top. I want to have a good one year and I think maybe in two years I’m going to give you the best years in my career.”

Now recite that same quote as Dolph Lundgren’s “Ivan Drago” voice in “Rocky IV.” Unfortunately for Silva, the last time we predicted a Brazilian was going to wipe out his contender, we had to eat our words. But Silva’s menacing declaration leaves us thinking Liddell’s demise is almost certain. Well, that and Wanderlei actually looks like a freakin’ cannibal.
