A Recipe For Success: England Officials Look To Make Non-English Speaking Fabio Capello Coach.

It didn’t take long for another foreign coach to be linked to a possible FA move. We won’t bludgeon you with the irony of that, but good lawd are they serious? Former Real Madrid head coach Fabio Capello has withheld zilch when it came to establishing that he’s 100% certain he wants the English coaching gig. Even though his former boss basically said he would suck:
But Madrid chief Predrag Mijatovic has warned England that Capello will struggle to adapt from club football.
Mijatovic, who hired and fired Capello for Real last season, said: “For me, Capello is not an international boss.
“His ideal habitat is at a club and if it’s a big club, so much the better. He needs a battle every day.”
What’s the worst that can happen with England: they lose and he gets fired? That’s what everyone’s betting on anyway. Yet, Capello and England have some additional, um, kinks to possibly work out.
The stumbling block is that he does not speak English but he is willing to learn and the FA do not believe it is an insurmountable problem…The FA’s plan to bring in an English assistant is seen as important for two main reasons. Firstly, it would be crucial for communicating with the players, fans and media as Capello learns English. It would also give the FA a long-term English successor to take over the reins when the next manager stands down.
It’ll be like playing telephone at every practice! Is it fair to say England officials have no clue what they’re doing? Yes. It’s fair.
