Frenchman Florent Malouda must’ve not received the memo from the entire EU that the EPL isn’t a safe place for a foreign-born player to be. It’s the only explanation for the Chelsea striker running his yap about the brainless and rough-and-tumble nature of English play, as opposed to the Zinedine Zidane-inspired headbutt action of the French leagues.
“During the actual games it is as though everybody’s brains are switched off. People play by instinct, spontaneously, in the way they did when they first discovered football.”
Hmm, comparing your teammates and opponents to Neanderthals. That’s an interesting tact to take. You might as well call them a bunch of fatties, too. Oh. You already went there.
“The people at Chelsea don’t control what the players eat. You can help yourself to whatever you like, drink Coke or anything… It is a good job I have come over here at the age of 27 and so haven’t been following the same diet as the rest of the club’s players.”
Upon hearing this, Cristiano Ronaldo wished the unthinkable and requested a transfer to Chelsea before the pies got cold.
