If You Hate Cristiano Ronaldo, You’re Not Alone

As much as we like to mock Cristiano Ronaldo around here, his amazing talent tips the scales back into his favor, allowing us to respect him at the level of a trained seal. But we seem to be in the minority because apparently the whole world hates his mamma-lovin’ guts.

“I HATE Ronaldo” was one of the most popular phrases searched for on Google in 2007, it has been revealed. The web search engine yesterday released its annual list of what surfers looked for – with Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, 22, topping the hate poll.

Who knew that Ronaldo’s World Cup foe and Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney spent so much time on the internet? Seriously though, we wonder who logs in the higher percentage of search entries—Rooney fans, or Manchester United-haters. Each is pretty sizable and there’s basically zero-crossover, meaning that unless Osama Bin Laden joins The Red Devils, Cristiano should be on top of this list for a while.
