Japanese sensation (haven’t we been saying this for years now?) Kosuke Fukudome was unveiled as the Chicago Cubs newest big signing yesterday. The Cubs held a press conference with the 32 year old, who will begin his rookie year in the MLB next April. Fukudome announced that he’s excited to play for someone as crazy talented as Lou Pinella.

“He likes his former manager, Hoshino,” journalist Yasunori Ishikawa said. “Hoshino has a temper, very much like Lou Piniella. [Fukudome] said, ‘If Piniella is like Hoshino, I will like him.’ “

Sounds naughty. We bet Fukudome’s never witnessed second base fly through the air in the middle of a game. It impresses us all the time when we see it. Welcome to America, brah.
