Usually, Real Madrid’s association with big name transfers is as obvious as Mike Tyson and crazy. The fact is, whether they’ve just signed 12 new strikers and nine defenders, Madrid are always hunting to get stronger. But there is a line to be drawn. And Real Madrid sporting director Pedja Mijatovic has drawn it out in simple terms: anything from FC Barcelona is poison, even Ronaldinho.

“Ronaldinho has no place in the dressing room of the blancos,” he stated simply to Noticias Cuatro. Ronaldinho? It’s not normal that a player of his stature is inactive. He could maybe quit, as surely he won’t want to remain a substitute.
We have some very good players, and a player like Ronaldinho isn’t one we’d sign because there’s no place for him.”

“I don’t like to discuss rivals, but in the case of Barcelona, it seems that Madrid has a better environment in the changing room.”

Does “better environment in the changing room” mean private lap dancers and removable stripping poles to accommodate your world class player’s every need? To think the days of “Zidanes” and “Pavons” are so behind them now. [Sigh]. Nostalgia. And cut.
