The NFL Network Is Looking To Please Its 17 Subscribers

After last week’s big stink about the NFL Network’s unavailability, yesterday’s news that the channel is tinkering with new technologies caught us off-guard. And by “caught us off-guard,” we mean watching Jai-Alai from Jamaica when we’d obviously love to be watching the NFL Network instead. This goes double now that cool-ass camera angles are being used.

Along with other bells and whistles, [subscribers] can choose among three camera angles on their computer in addition to the main TV feed: the sideline cam, the end zone cam, and the cable cam hovering above the field.

Indeed, the most entertaining part of the alternate camera angles was often the voyeuristic sense of watching close-ups of players preparing to line up or talking between snaps, images rarely seen during telecasts.

Dammit, we’re missing the cheerleader upskirt cam! But alternately, watching football players hawk up a massive loogie or grab themselves in the huddle makes us kinda nauseous and happy we don’t have that option. We can get our share of panties on the internet. Thanks, NFL Network!
