What’s The Penalty Time For Trying To Sever An Opponent’s Leg?
20 December 2007, 5:15 PM. By Daniel Mauser
Chris Simon was suspended for 30 games after trying to slash Jarkko Ruuto’s achilles in a game last week. This is the kind of stuff hockey fans pay for, so what’s the big deal? Simon’s teammates try to explain:
“Chris has a history of that type of thing and has worked extremely hard to overcome that. That’s his personal life, and a statement like that could affect his reputation, and affect the rest of his life. We talk about sensitive issues, but maybe some other people need sensitivity training.”
“That type of thing” is called serial-killer-in-the-making-itis. Say it with us, kids.
