Denver Nuggets’ Nene Had A Bad Testicle, Is A-Ok

Brazilian basketball player Nene Hilario had some bad news to begin 2008. The Denver Nugget’s forward underwent surgery on a testicle last week (we could really end this here) and the ensuing biopsy revealed that the tumor was malign. Poor Nene. Fortunately, the cancer was confined to his nuts so doctors say there’s no need to panic. In his 5th year as a pro, Nene’s having an ok year, averaging 6.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 1.0 assists. No word as to when he’ll be hitting the hardwood again, but his “recovery rate is extremely high.” We’ll keep you posted on developments.
