  • As the college football season winds down tonight, here is one of the most vicious hits we’ve seen in a long time. Tulsa’s Roy Roberts puts a smackdown on Bowling Green’s Antonio Smith, and we don’t know what’ we love more: A) the actual hit; B) Smith’s dreads snapping up while sideways; C) the lone helmet on the field, always an indicator something went down; D) the fact that the announcers can’t seem to shut up about it. We’re going to go with E) all of the above. [YouTube]
  • Former MLB‘er Jose Lima is going to Korea to play for the Kia Tigers, where they hope he can be a top of the rotation kinda guy. Well, that explains why Hee-Sop Choi was such a bust. [UmpBump]
  • Didier Drogba keeps on telling everyone that’ll listen that he wants to leave Chelsea. We believe his next move will involve skywriting or taking hostages. We obviously hope for the latter. [World Soccer]
  • Brazilian Diego was voted the Bundesliga’s top player… for the first half of the season. Talk about counting your huhns before they hatch. [Fox Sports]
  • FIFA president Sepp Blatter is outraged that England chose Fabio Capello, a non-Englishman, to coach the national team. Blatter says they broke a “principle of international football.” Capello retorted, “Oh yeah? Well I breaka you face,” and then lunged at him with a broken chianti bottle.* [BBC]
  • *=Not really what happened
