If You Want Proof That The NY Giants/Dallas Cowboys Game Is Big This Weekend, Just Look At Phil Simms’ Chin

From Tony Romo/Jessica Simpson gossip and Terrell Owens’ ankle to Eli Manning’s wobbly arm and Michael Strahan’s fantasies about Jessica Simpson, this weekend’s NFC playoff clash between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys has as much juice as a Britney Spears outing to a 7-Eleven. But we don’t need all that pregame hype to tell us it’s a big game. We have Phil Simms’ scar tissue to tell us that.
Phil Simms shows the intensity of the New York Giants’ rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys by pointing to a scar on his chin.
“As I hit the ground, I went, `Oh my gosh,” Simms, the Most Valuable Player of the 1987 Super Bowl, said in an interview. “I reached out and held my chin and there was blood everywhere. I mean everywhere. And I’m groaning, because it hurt. And Randy White says, basically, `Shut up, you big baby. Quit crying and just play.”’
The rivalry has definitely taken on new heights, so we won’t be needing your chin anymore, Phil. So what will we be talking about in 20 years? We envision, by way of extreme exhaustion because we woke up at 4am, Eli Manning suffers a first quarter elbow injury, gets carted off the field and backup Jared Lorenzen saves the day. Obviously that’s absurd because we’re writing off the Giants like Lindsey Lohan writes off rehab. Prediction: Dallas 24, Eli Manning, sucks.
