Some Ice Skater Named Christopher Bowman Died

Let’s be upfront about this story. The only reason we’re blogging about it stems from the fact 40 year old ex-ice skating champion Christopher Bowman, recognized by Brian Boitano as one of America’s best ever, was found Rigamortis in a San Fernando Valley budget motel. We just so happen to be about five miles from the joint.

Now the 40-year-old former skating champ known as “Bowman the Showman” has been found dead at a budget hotel in the San Fernando Valley, and authorities say a drug overdose could be to blame.
Bowman’s body was found by a friend Thursday morning at a Budget Inn in the North Hills area, police Sgt. Francisca Wheeling said.

At least it was in North Hills. Now if he had died in Pacoima, or Sylmar, then it would have been sad. And we thought drug overdoses were so passe. Since the San Fernando Valley is the porn capital of the world, we’d like to invite the idea that Bowman [Ed. Note: We keep typing Bowen] kicked the bucket after a long night of shagging. It’s not a pretty visual, but Bowman was a trend-setter, and this is the new way to go out.
