Torneo Clausura Peeks Its Grimy Head Back Into Our Lives This Weekend

Mexico’s Soccer league (FMF) kicks off this weekend and those considerate bastards at the scheduling department have given us a sweet highlight for our Saturday viewing: Chivas de Guadalajara V Pumas. Though the Pumas recent showing in the Interliga leaves us wondering if they’ll even remember how to dribble a ball come Jewish Sabbath, the clash of big team rivals means three things: extreme smack talk, hooters watch in the stands via Galavision’s horrendous cameras and Coronas (though we prefer Tecates…out of a can).
So who will bust and who will thrust in the Clausura is a mystery because the Interliga confused us. We know teams aren’t supposed to be in form during the Winter months, unless you’re an English club; but besides them blokes, everyone is supposed to be fat and slow. It’s just the way nature created it. But, through simple analysis, reached in no scientific manner whatsoever, we’re going to declare…um…hm…Pachuca Chivas America San Luis Cruz Azul…all hell lets just say whichever team wins the first game of the season will take it all. And since Veracruz and Morelia have drawn the inagural match of the Torneo Clausura, then Morelia will win it all! Orale, Morelia! Congratulations.
Now seriously: let’s just sit tight and thank the heavens that this weekend won’t be a bore because now we’ve got the FMF back up in our DVR and shite.
