We know this story smack your fore brain a few days ago, but we’ve been busy and shite. Apparently a little bit of Spain has rubbed off on some of Australia’s finest athletes after a a few members of the Central Coast Mariners–an Australian A-League soccer club–arrived to a party dressed as a Nazi and Morgan Freeman. As God. And in blackface. Don’t these fools know that this isn’t allowed?

Football Federation Australia CEO Ben Buckley branded the actions of Andre Gumprecht and Tony Vidmar “stupid” and said he would seek explanations for their behaviour.
German-born Gumprecht’s decision to attend the event in Terrigal, on the Central Coast, dressed as Hitler drew criticism from Jewish groups, who described the costume as “disgusting” and urged him to apologise.
The 33-year-old midfielder was photographed alongside Vidmar, who appeared in white robes with his face blackened. He is understood to have been portraying Morgan Freeman, who played God in the 2003 film Bruce Almighty. Vidmar’s nickname is God.

An explanation hasn’t been made public, but we imagine an apology going something like: “What is bee-go-tree? We do not know this word. We just smeared black paint on my face. It’s harmless, no?” Hey, if Fernando Alonso can get away with being an asshole, puto-face deny racism exists in Spain, then, well, these guys will probably keep playing shitty soccer unscathed.

This was a great idea
