If Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t at 100% now, then he’ll be juggling hookers and scoring 40 goals simultaneously when he finally is. According to Gerard Houllier, a former Liverpool head coach who is obviously wacko, Lyon have a shot at Manchester United later this week in Champions League play because Cristiano is only playing at 80 percent of his ability. Aaar?

“Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t in the best form of his life,” Houiller told Le Parisien. “He has been in his top form from October to December this season.
“Today, he is only at 80 percent. I feel he is lacking a little physical freshness. It’s not surprising to see him experiencing a drop. We will see his real level at the end of March.

He does have a point. Cristiano, like all athletes, is looking a bit fatigued, but we’re hardly out to thrash 20 percent of his physical prowess. Five percent is plausible, and ten may be a stretch, but twenty?

The French tactician compared [Karim] Benzema to Cristiano Ronaldo, and said that his compatriot was currently playing at 80 percent of his potential as well.

Didn’t they just legalize Absinthe in France? It would explain a lot if they did.
