It’s no secret that Guillermo Ochoa has provoked speculation that he’s willing to leave Mexican soccer club America for Europe at any time. After his latest assessment of the team, Ochoa laid the foundation for a possible leap to another continent by implying America’s in deep shite. We’re wondering why America hasn’t made him board a plane yet if he’s so eager to leave. After two consecutive losses in the Clausura, Ochoa declared that there was trouble brewing in Mexico City.
“Every time you don’t win, there is always a crisis. And since we’ve lost two games consecutively, then there is a crisis. But [the team] must fight so we can move ahead and win and stabalize ourselves in the standings. None of us like to be in this position.”
Of course, it’s easier to leave a team when the collective is screwing up. This must be Memo’s way of warming up the car that will drive him away from the Azteca and into a Uefa Cup contender in England.
