We won’t meddle with superfluous rants concerning Diego Maradona. Everyone knows that he’s not regarded as the greatest soccer player of all time because of his cocaine addiction; the fact he turned into the Good Year blimp a few years back; and because he’s deferred his cheating ways as a Godsend. Yeah, he’s really not a poster child for idoltry (though his church would protest). Maradona recently chimed in on why the world views Pele as the greatest soccer player that ever lived while viewing him as the really good soccer player who enjoyed blowing lines on the pitch.

Maradona, who suffered from a well-chronicled drug problem, seemed to have a pretty high opinion of himself, though.
“If I had never taken cocaine, there would be no debate about who was the best footballer the world had ever seen,” he said. “Everyone would say me.”
Pele could not be reached for comment.

“Look! What is that thing on the bright blue canvas.”
“It’s the sun,” says a man.
“O-o-o-h.”
