Birmingham defender Martin Taylor won’t be making any Christmas card lists anytime soon. After his take down of Eduardo Da Silva that could end the Brazilian-born, Croatian national’s career, Taylor has been vilified all over the European continent. It got so bad that Taylor’s team sent out a release that expresses their sadness for the horrifying injury… that they say Taylor had nothing to do with. Yeah, he must’ve been so distraught when it happened. We’re sure the smile on his face is to balance that out.
“The club are saddened that such a fantastic game of football has been marred by a serious injury sustained to Arsenal player Eduardo. But Martin Taylor is adamant there was no malicious intent in the tackle and he is deeply upset by the extent of Eduardo’s injury.
“Having reviewed the incident, this (no malicious intent) is clearly the case. The club and Martin Taylor would like to send their very best wishes to the player for a speedy recovery.”
Um have you see the ankle? There’s nothing that’s going to be speedy any time soon.
