Shaquille O’Neal May Have To Pack Up Him Gimpy Body And Ship It To Phoenix

If you were in the market for a car, and an old Bentley with a broken odometer and even more broken parts came on to the market–would you buy it? Okay, what if it came at its original price? Well, that’s what the Miami Heat are selling by putting Shaquille O’Neal on the market. And this being the NBA, even with two years left at a combined $40 million on his contract, there are potential buyers everywhere looking for a broken down, 7-foot and 300-pound body to throw at people. And luckily for Shaq, one of those bodies he may be throwing himself at is Kobe Bryant.

The Heat has told center Shaquille O’Neal’s representation that it is talking about trading him and he should be prepared for the possibility of a deal… Phoenix has discussed sending forward Shawn Marion and point guard Marcus Banks to the Heat in return for O’Neal.

O’Neal, 35, was shocked by the turn of events, an associate said. O’Neal helped lead the Heat to the 2005-06 championship, but Miami has struggled since.

It’s kind of sad to see the best center of the last 30 years being traded away to clear some cap room, like he was Kwame Brown or something. Unless you’re Kobe Bryant. Then it’s just chuckles in between jump shots and tapas with Pau Gasol.
