Every sports media outlet in America wants you to hoot and holla over Kobe Bryant’s dislocated pinkie. We don’t care. Instead, we want to focus on Shaquille O’Niel’s dislocated heart that’s been mangled by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s apparent ignorance.
“I’ve probably only spoken two times to Mr. Kareem and once to Mr. Chamberlain,” said O’Neal, comparing them to former centers Bill Russell and Hakeem Olajuwon, who, according to O’Neal, continue to befriend him. “Coming in there, playing under [Abdul-Jabbar preceded by Chamberlain], I wanted at least to be on the same page. . . . It was vital that I make a name for myself in that organization. Why they don’t talk to me, I don’t know. I don’t have any hard feelings for them.”
Well, Wilt Chamberlain is dead, Shaq. You can purchase a ouiji board at your local Toys ‘R’ Us if ya want to chat. As far as Kareem, dude. He’s contributing to his Los Angeles Times sponsored blog now. He’s in the big time. When you get a blog and fil us on Bruce Lee’s influence on modern day mixed martial arts, then he’ll chat with you. Until then, shhh.
