We got through a quarter of the quarterfinals done with yesterday with minor bumps and bruises. Never watch a Real Madrid game in Little Italy when they’re playing Roma. That’s the Machochip advisory board talkin’. Aside from that, the first day back from Champions League hiatus was as enthralling as returning home and getting reacquainted with your drinking buddies. Today, there’s a showdown between some of Europe’s. Who do you got? Machochip went 2-for-3 yesterday in predictions and we’re looking to add to that, you know, for sake of credibility.

Arsenal FC V AC Milan: Emirates Stadium: 14:45 EST

  • Arsene Wenger’s team is in search of their soul after a humiliating thrashing at the hands of Manchester United last weekend. In order to recapture it, they’ll need to put up a fight against defending Champions League champs, AC Milan. Injuries are plaguing this clash, so either team has a shot. Fortunately for Arsenal, AC Milan are playing like drunken sailors. They’ll be without Clarence Seedorf and Dida, but an attacking front of Pato and Alberto Gilardino will..wait…Gilardino’s leading the pack for AC Milan? That’s all we need.
    Prediction: Arsenal 1, AC Milan 1. That’s a DRAW.

Manchester United V Lyon: Municipal de Gerland: 14:45 EST

  • If you’d like to think that this matchup will consist of defense, or how to contain the Lyon midfield, or how Sir Alex Ferguson’s decision to play Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes will influence the game, then you’re nuts. We’ve got our sights on two men: Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. And if this putz is right, then we’ll see some Lyon fireworks tonight. These two will define the pace, the creativity and the ratings. Do hookers watch soccer? Who knows. But we’ve got a Bezema stunner flashing in our crystal ball.
Prediction: Lyon 2, Manchester United 2.

Celtic FC V FC Barcelona: Celtic Park: 14:45EST

  • Frank Rijkaard will have an entire superstar squad of strikers at his disposal for Barcelona’s clash against Celtic FC, and if he starts any combination of three (preferably Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto’o and Lionel Messi) then the Celtic defense are going to have their hands full. Unless Celtic surprise Barcelona with an early goal and disrupt their psyche. Then the game may actually be worthy of sitting through. We don’t want to mince words, take you away from your drinking time or stall any further.
Predicition: Celtic 0, FC Barcelona 3

The fourth match will be Fenerbahce V Sevilla at 14:45EST. Check local listings for viewing. Prediction: Fenerbahce 1, Sevilla 0.
Earlier: It’s [Finally] Champions League Tuesday
