Brett Favre officially retired from football today when he appeared before shutter bugs and reporters during a planned press conference. The emotional Favre thanked God, his organization and all of his fans for the years he was allowed to play in the bigs. We’ve cracked many jokes about Green Bay, but misinterpret them not. Brett Favre was the most exciting quarterback we ever got to see and we wish him well. Who the hell is going to induce panic and anxiety during games for us now, the Raiders? Please.

(Disclaimer: Growing up in the NFLless world that was Los Angeles, Editor Alejandro De La Cruz had to find a team that would rival his older brother’s amorous affair with the St. Louis Rams. He chose the Green Bay Packers because of Brett Favre. He’s been a Green Bay fan ever since.)
