Cracking down on performance enhancing cheats is a top priority for major sports around the world. Cycling, for example, has seen its fair share of testicular sacrificers, so cycling’s international community will do whatever it takes to clamp down on pompous riders who dismiss rules and relegations. Belgian rider Kevin van Impe knows very well the lengths the International Riders Association will take to get a urine sample.

Quick Step rider van Impe was at the crematorium dealing with funeral arrangements following his son’s death when a drugs tester turned up and demanded he provide a sample, warning that otherwise he could face a two-year suspension.
“He wouldn’t even come back later in the day. It was either do it right on the spot or it would be taken as if I had refused,” said van Impe, whose son Jayden, born prematurely on Monday, died just six hours later.

Humiliation coupled with grief is like serving a fucking diabetic a tub of ice cream and forcing him/her to eat it. At gun point. And naked. Next thing you know…actually, this was as bad as it could ever get.
