Ronaldo Blasts Know-Nothing Pele

We’ve always speculated that Brazilian legend Pele hasn’t been the biggest fan of compatriot Ronaldo. Just think, Ronaldo’s scored more endorsements, holds the title as greatest World Cup striker and he’s played on some of the biggest clubs on earth. Aside, the notoriety of Ronaldo’s title as the “Phenomenon” probably irked Pele to the core. We knew those Nike Joga Bonito ads would manifest bad blood. Yet, Pele’s recent bashing of Ronaldo’s health and career is uncouth. True, but totally in bad form.
“I don’t think Ronaldo will be able to be the player he once was,” Pele said.
“Medicine has made huge progress, but he’s also a few years older now. I would be very happy if he would be able to come back at 100%, but I’m afraid it won’t go that way.”
Thanks for the update on modern medicine, but leave it to bloggers and bastards to bash Ronaldo. If we weren’t here to do so, then he wouldn’t have felt compelled to rebuttal. It’s tough love, but someone’s gotta do it.
Ronaldo has now hit back at the 1970 World Cup hero.
“He said that I will not come back to play? I am happy that he said this,” Ronaldo told Radio Globo.
“It is well known that whatever Pele forecasts, the exact opposite comes true.
“However I don’t want to make too much of this. Pele is a legend and finds himself in difficult situations, having to answer questions of all kinds.”
Translation: He’s senile and won’t shut the hell up when he needs to. Ronaldo’s next step should be to gain strength, achieve recovery and score a dozen goals next year. Frankly, we’d all way to see that.
