Rumor Alert: Sven Goran Eriksson Winks At Giovani Dos Santos

OK, it’s official. Sven Goran Eriksson’s got an eye for the Mexicans. The Manchester City boss is rumored to have interest in Barcelona youngster Giovani Dos Santos and if a deal is met, (remember, rumors), Dos Santos would join fellow national Nery Castillo in England. That’s fantastic for the pride of Mexico, but we’re not exactly sold on the idea of Giovani suiting up in the shin shattering rough and tumble league that is the Premiership.

“There is interest from Manchester City,” Zizinho told Mexican newspaper El Universal. “However, I cannot give more information now as Giovani’s agent is the one in charge of all this, it’s him who is dealing with negotiations…”

Giovani’s playing time has declined as of late because of injury and a Serbian/Spanish stud named Borjan KrKic taking his place as pubescent wonder. Yet, Manchester City are currently sitting sheepishly in ninth place, tied with Blackburn and Aston Villa (yeah, tell us about it), so UEFA Cup action isn’t even guaranteed. We want our boy playing in the big time! Or, preferably, somewhere that isn’t Manchester City.
