Snow–It’s Not As Soft As Matthias Lanzinger Previously Thought

This is Austrian skier Matthias Lanzinger going down a hill and snapping his leg during a SuperG run at the skiing World Cup. Before you think it’s a laughing matter, we must note, he had the lower half of his left leg amputated after this spill.
Now that you know that…the replay when he’s going over the hill out of control is pretty nuts. At the :22 mark, he looks like he’s thinking what most of us do when we’re driving and start to hydroplane or slip on some black ice–namely, “This isn’t going to end well.”
