The Spurs Unveil Alter Ego: “Los Spurs”

The San Antonio Spurs paid tribute to their Latino contingent by sporting “Los Spurs” jerseys during their game against the Indiana Pacers last night. The scoop:

Fans attending Thursday’s game will be met with colorful decorations and musical entertainment provided by Salsa Calienta and a local mariachi band. The Silver Dancers will be dancing with a Latin flair, and the Coyote will put on a show fit for Fiesta.

The team will be wearing “Los Spurs” jerseys which feature a Noche Latina patch honoring the NBA’s Latin Nights 2008. One lucky fan will have the chance to win Manu Ginobili’s signed Los Spurs jersey.

Will they be throwing tortilla’s out in to the crowd like frisbies and play “bang bang shoot the Cowboy” during halftime too, pa’? We prefer the San Francisco “Gigantes” jerseys from last year.
