You’d think a professional soccer club with championship caliber players could maneuver their cooking staff into a deloused kitchen where the feijoada wouldn’t be contaminated with a gut-wrenching liver disease. Five Internacional players have succomb to a nasty bout of Hepatitis A after one player caught the bug and then the domino effect gave way.
The Brazilian club confirmed Wednesday midfielder Edinho and goalkeepers Muriel and Renan became the latest players to be contaminated by hepatitis A.
Defender Ramon and midfielder Maycon already had been sidelined because of the liver disease, which will make the players miss the remainder of the Rio Grande do Sul state championship.
The article goes on to site that the players sharing of water bottles could be the culprit for the disease spreading, and if that’s the case, then at least the players don’t have herpes or anything.
