Note to all stadium personnel: concrete walls surrounding a soccer pitch should be padded. Unfortunately, it’s too late. Zadar FC soccer player Hrvoje Custic didn’t survive a horrendous collision with a concrete wall last Saturday and he’s now dead. Dead! DEAD!

Hrvoje was injured on Saturday in a match against Cibalia, hitting his head against the concrete wall along the pitch. He was then transported to the Zadar General Hospital where he underwent surgery.
On Wednesday, Hrvoje had a high temperature indication an (sic) infection, while this morning his state was critical. Doctors of the ICU fought for his life, but the situation today was very difficult and their struggle ended tragically.

Video of the incident was taken from a distance, but you can see Custic’s teammates frantic response after the accident. How the hell does this happen? It was certainly bound to because nimrods who own stadiums care about ads, not safety. R.I.P. Hrvoje Custic.
