In this time of recession and fear, it’s normal that the crime cycle would go up. People have to feed their families, provide ill parents medicine and… get fresh kicks on their feet? A Seattle teenager reported that someone broke into his house this past weekend and stole about fifty pairs of Air Jordans from him, worth over $7,500. Luckily for the Emerald City teen, they missed the shoe box full of weed, which usually accompanies any multi-thousand dollar stockpile of sneakers outside of a Foot Locker or an athlete’s home. Ok, maybe not an athlete’s home.
If you see someone with a large collection of Air Jordans — like 50 pairs from various years and in different sizes — you might want to call Seattle police.
A West Seattle teenager reported Thursday that all of his Nike basketball shoes, named after former Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan and worth approximately $7,500, were snatched from his house on 32nd Avenue Southwest, according to a police report.
They haven’t caught the thief… but we’re going with Sonics owner Clay Bennett. If it has to do with villains, basketball and Seattle, there’s only one guy to blame nowadays, right?
