New England Patriots’ wide-receiver Randy Moss is craving a championship. So much so that he’s decided to venture out to another team. But it’s not a professional NFL cheater’s club team. It’s the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series that he’s interested in. And up until twelve minutes ago, we had no idea such a thing even existed. The marketability factor of having a pro football player affiliated with your “sport” is already working!

“There are a lot of NASCAR fans in the locker room,” Moss said in a statement released Tuesday. “We’ve seen a lot of football players get involved — guys like Dan Marino and Troy Aikman, to name a couple. I think it’s a good fit and gives some of the companies I am already working with an additional outlet. It’s a smart move on the marketing side of things, but on the personal side of things, I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Truck series teams should be forewarned that Moss’ trucks may come supplied with torches of fire, ninjas and myriad spies surroundering the sidelienes. Lots and lots of spies. Do they have sidelines at a truck meet/race/thing?
