We were reading over an article sent by a tipster about the Los Angeles Dodgers new “if you don’t have a box seat ticket you’re shit out of luck to get an autograph” rule, in which the “Doyers” new PR guy has indefinitely cordoned off field level access to any fan that doesn’t have the proper ticket stub. (For those who don’t know: fans have been allowed for decades to approach field level seats pre-game at Chavez Ravine to gain access to players who are willing to sign autographs.) We were riddled with rage until we stumbled up one privileged fan named Susan Lee, whose self-proclaimed really fucking racist “unracist” comments about the dichotomy between rich Dodgers’ fans and, well, the cholos, reminded us that Los Angeles’ rich tradition in racial divide is as fecund as greasy gossip blogs.

“Not to sound like a stuck-up snot, but 90% of the time the people swarming field level before the games for autographs are incredibly rude and don’t have a problem stepping on you or shoving you out of the way,” wrote Susan Lee. “This is not to sound racist, but a majority of Dodger fans appear to be ‘gangbanger types.’ “

Well that was unfortunate. Obviously, Susan has disembarked from the real issue here: gangbanger types shouldn’t be negated Manny Mota’s autograph. And is she talking about little kids with shaved heads and replica Fernando Valenzuela jerseys as well? Because we were totally that kid when we were younger; except with the real jersey. Without calling her names, we’ll just say her statements are uncouth and unnecessary. And really fucking bitchy.
Aside, what do you all think about this new “no box seat ticket/no autograph” rule in LA?
