Yao Ming is sticking to his where-is-my-deer-penis-soup Chinese roots. The behemoth Chinese center for the Houston Rockets was diagnosed with a stress fracture in February and is sidelined for the season. Instead of your traditional Western rehab, Ming has decided to give his native China the option to screw up his career chance to make him right.

“There is no reason to dismiss (traditional Chinese medicine),” Yao said. “It’s been used in our country for thousands of years. I don’t think it’s short on science.”

It’s definitely short on acceptance, seeing as China’s own Olympic governing body has banned hundred of medicinal options that were once locker room staples. We guess Yao didn’t get the memo that turtle’s blood is no longer allowed in his protein shakes.
